Q:  What is Metroseeq.com?

A:  Metroseeq is like GasBuddy.com, but instead of sharing gas tips, it is a way for people to share tips on how to beat the menu as restaurants often have promotions and discounts to attract people.  There are also deals from national partners like Restaurant.com who upload their deals to Metroseeq

Q: Where do all the data points come from?

A: Metroseeq is powered by Google Local, it resorts and re-plots the data points of your choosing, not the Top 10 list.

 

Q: I know of markers are misplaced, how can I change it?

A: A tutorial can be found here.   When there are changes in Google, Metroseeq will pick it up in real time since it shares the same database, Metroseeq just searches it progressively.

 

Q: Help!  I know the name of the business, when I type it in, I can’t find it on your map.

A: First try typing in “Business Name + city”, i.e. “Andina Portland” in “Portland” will return result when “Andina”, “Portland”.  Second, try typing in the keyword instead, so for an Italian restaurant, just type in italian and move the map to that area.

 

Q: I moved the map to the position where I know have business, but it still doesn’t show up on your map, what’s going on!

A: There could be several factors.  The ones we know are 1) it may be an unverified listing on Google  2) the restaurant is too embedded in Google local’s results, our search engine balances the depth and the speed. 

 

Q: What is the difference between green Q and blue Q?

 A: Green Q means there is a coupon/promotion/special/discount in that business, blue Q means there is none yet.  Feel free to add one through “add deal”.
